I find the mining industry of cornwall very interesting and i really like to see the remains of the engine houses. Their ruins make the landscape so unmistakenly cornish.
I suppose i have rather a romantic view and  yet im aware that the conditions in the mines were extremely harsh and it could be extremely dangerous and uncomfortable work. 
I am looking forward to our annual holiday in cornwall this summer and especially to seeing more of this fascinating builidngs and learning more about their history.
